Wherefore I wished, and understanding was given to me. I called upon God, and the spirit of wisdom came upon me. (Wisdom 7:7)
Lessons allow us to learn from our mistakes and develop wisdom.
During this time of year as we move closer to the Light, there is a tendency to drag around the immediate past as a mode of self-loathing; instead of viewing the result as a life well lived, up to this moment.
God gave us free will and we have choices in every area of life.
Lessons are but steps in the stairway. If you were to attempt to carry all of your experiences while pausing at the top of the landing, the load would crush you.
When a lesson is completed or fully recognized, it is time to leave behind that which does not serve and begin the next leg of the journey in confidence and faith.
“Just as the plants awaken in the spring so do we. It is a call from deep within the soul, a transition.” (Awakening the Inner Ticker of Life, pg. 75)
