“And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him.” (Luke 2:40)
We have to take special care in our relationship with God, whether we feel the move of God in our lives or not. This is a time to “Act As If.” We do this by believing that God has a plan, with every detail covered.
“Uneventful years need not be unprofitable. One of the holiest doctors of the Mediaeval Church, who was placed by Dante among the saints of paradise, said a striking thing about the youth of Jesus. “Take notice,” he said, “that His doing nothing wonderful was itself a kind of wonder. As there is power in His actions, so is there power in His retirement and His silence.” (Devotional Sermons by G.H. Morrison from e-sword)
Perhaps, you may find yourself in such a season right now where everything seems at a standstill. If it is quiet, go deep. Examine your spiritual foundation. Is it built on sand or stone?
If there are any cracks in your armor, “Act As If” and fill your foundation with Understanding, Hope, Joy, Abundance, Love and Truth and Love from God’s Mantle Box; all will produce increasing faith.
“Anyone who listens to my teaching is and applies it is a wise person who prepares the base of one’s holy life with solid rock instead of sand.” (Awakening the Inner Ticker of Life, pg. 13)
