“Holy Spirit, Open My Mind…”
The same Spirit that blew across the waters at the beginning of it all, is the same Spirit that visited the friends and followers of Christ.
Jesus said, “I will never leave you, nor forsake you!” But, what happens, when a different type of life wind blows through the door; the circumstances beyond our control? What about the wind that knocks us off our feet; the day the umbrella breaks and the wind and rain are relentless? Where do we go from here?
“Sometimes it is not the difficulty of life, but the drudgery of it that makes me think God will forsake me.” Do I hear God’s assurance in times when the whirlwinds of life blow?
“The faith of many people begins to falter when apprehensions enter their thinking and they forget the meaning of God’s assurance; they forget to take a deep spiritual breath.”**
Is God preparing or equipping us for some exceptional thing or work in the future? No. It’s about being, right now; in the moment.
We get up, close the umbrella and look to the Shekinah Spirit to offer a gentle breeze of comfort, as we enter into a new level of understanding.
“…Illuminate My Heart!”*

**My Utmost for His Highest
“See me as your constant companion, take me everywhere with you!”
Open your eyes, a new season is here.
In the fullness of time and latter day rain, we will have Light and Truth.
Watch as the plants continue to bear fruit. This is a direct reflection of what one can manifest in her/his life.
A Light has risen for the upright of heart.
See me in every situation. My Light permeates everyone and everything. There is no space of place I cannot reach; even into the depth of one’s heart and soul, “I will not abandon you.”
Do not allow the disconcerted confusion or despair to interfere with your journey or the work you have been called to do.
When you can’t figure something out, ask for my help. Put me in the middle of every situation.
“God is within, as well as all about us; we are consciously within the presence of God and are present in God!”
“I want you ascending to new heights and new places.”
We are standing on the test of time, with nothing in between.
The past is where it should be. You have weathered the storm.
Now, a new door; new chapter opens in your “Book of Life.” Are you ready?
The ditches will soon be filled with rain; the blessings will abound.
This is the time and the season; it is the “Season of God.”
Take the strength I give you. You are ascending into new territory.
Be hopeful, be happy and be!
“I am with you always.”
“Now that you have planted your seed, allow yourself to bloom and grow.”
The God of Strength offers you a staff. It symbolizes the great Mustard Tree; one with strong roots and a firm foundation, “My foundation is in the Light.”
You are a sprout that has pushed up through the earth. Continue to nurture and care for yourself.
Become familiar with your surroundings and pay attention. Don’t doubt or blow off the smallest detail
Let go and be the tree.
“Anyone who believes and has strength will do the greater works.”
“By your fruits you are known.”
What does this mean? We will have to go deeper to answer this question.
What about the fig tree described by Jesus?
We are preparing for a new season; a mirror reflection of who we are and being “of” this world.
The time is near for our convergence with the Holy Shekinah Spirit, “when the branches become green and tender” and the tree starts putting out leaves, it means that “summer is near”.
Pentecost will be Sunday, June 4, 2017. How do we prepare for this event?
Whether in ministry or in life, we are called to be and Jesus asks us to bear “good fruit.”
Take a moment to reflect: What I am doing in my spiritual life or community to bear fruit?
At times, we fall short of this goal; relying on our own power to see life through that stems from unrealistic expectations that did not begin with God, but grew from our own “vain imaginings.”
Where is my foundation? Do I have my feet firmly planted on the ground? We don’t have branches, leaves or trunks because we have not laid the foundation by preparing and planting seed (more on this next week).
“Fruit of the Vine will become one’s spiritual food.”
“I am in the details.”
Delay is sometimes necessary and not welcomed in our instant world.
God may give you a spiritual pause; without a word or inspiration, just as Jesus experienced in the wilderness.
We are linked to others via our surroundings or experiences. There is a desire to have a “right now” solution or answer to a prayer, etc.
We may want to intercede or interfere due to a “preconceived bias” with those whom God is lifting up to a different level, which is beyond one’s sight.
Delay is an opportunity for God to work it all out, so we can walk it out; abiding with God.
“I have a plan and a purpose for your life.”
