A Foundation of Faith

“Are you willing to stretch and move in blind faith even though you feel you can’t go on?”*

When closing one door and opening another, having faith is necessary to move forward and finish the work one is called to do!

In prayer, we always need others who will stand with us in the gap; shoulder to shoulder, without pretense.

In 2015, my friends, the “Two Listeners” prayed over me. It was a powerful experience.

As I sat in their living room, I felt the power of the Spirit come over me; it was so strong, I couldn’t move a muscle. God had my attention.

My friends told me that a brand new door is going to open in my life, allowing me to step into new places with Jesus.

As they continued praying, they said, “the Lord is closing a door behind you and it will be sealed shut.”

On Faith and standing in agreement with my friends, I stood up and stepped through the new door the Lord placed in front of me. The words that Jesus spoke, “It is finished” resonated in my Spirit.

I had no idea what was in store for me; only trusting in the prophetic words my friends shared with me that day, combined with the trust I have in my God.

This excerpt taken from E-Sword, Daily Devotions resonated with my Spirit:

“Maybe you are in “God’s Body Shop” right now – and He is pounding out dents, scraping off the old coat of paint that somebody else sprayed on you; cutting out the rust and putting new panels in place. You my friend are being over-hauled! And the final results will certainly be road-worthy – you can count on it!”

Even though we step into a new situation in life, there is always more preparation; discernment via prayer while getting bits and pieces of the new plan along the way. Herein lies the lesson of faith, trusting in God 100%.

“We have to dig in our heels and not waiver until the miracle happens.”*

After Irma – A Bit About Faith

“God you are our defender and protector.”

These past days have been filled with fear and many other emotions, as we waited for the arrival of Hurricane Irma and all that came with it.

In the midst of prayer, faith stood with me.

Years back, a friend was kind enough to share with me his take on faith: “Patty, God will move mountains but you better bring the bulldozer. We have to dig in our heels and not waiver.”*

At one point, the uncertainty and stress was over the top.

When I began to feel the power of the wind and rain banging on the back side of my home, out of my tool box came Psalm 91; a psalm I recite every morning during prayer time. It is filled with promises of what God will do for us, when we run to him.

For the next seven hours, I sat in a chair and prayed without ceasing the 91st Psalm and other prayers; sending Light to family and friends.

As the wind began to dissipate a bit and the rain began to lighten, a sense of relief and gratitude came over me. God heard every word.

Not only did I not lose power (a miracle), but my house remained in one piece with a few issues and some debris.

“You are our God in whom we trust.”

I AM With You Always!

“A soul united to God and transformed by him draws from within God a divine breath.” (St. John of the Cross)

This week, we have all been in a state of prayer; getting ready for a storm.

There are many storms that come in life; emotional, physical, financial, etc.

Like many of you, there are times in my life that I am afraid. Fear is part of our makeup and nature. It’s ok to have healthy fears. It is the unhealthy fears, the obsessions that can overtake us.

If I use my prayer tools, darkness cannot invade my sacred space.

God does not send us negativity. At Calvary, Jesus said at Calvary, “It is finished.”

We can learn so much by bringing prayer into our life, whether it is embracing the lines from scripture or from another inspirational text.

I remember the first time I came across Psalm 91. This line resonated with me: “You are my defender and the most high my protector. You are my God, in you I trust.” God will stand for and with us when we ask for help.

“We need not fear any dangers at night”. If the sound of thunder drives me out of bed, prayer drops me back in.

Gods promise is: “When they call to me, I will answer them; when they are in trouble, I will be with them. I will rescue them and save them”.

“Lo, I am with you always. I am always with you.”

The Fourth Watch – A Call to Prayer

“And in the fourth watch of the night he came to them, walking on the sea.”

During the “Fourth Watch” while the wind and waves were blowing, Jesus walked towards them. He intended to go past them, but saw that they were in serious trouble. He paused.

“I am walking towards the boat. Will you get out of the boat to come closer to me or will you stay in your comfort zone in the boat; even though, in the boat the world is rocking and shaking?”

Every day, the nature of humanity is sinking lower and lower into despair; fewer people are praying than ever before. There is a need that is growing and it is a call to prayer.

When the “Inner Ticker” stirs between 3 am and 6 am; get up and pray.

“In the days of darkness my elect shall not sleep. They shall pray incessantly, and they shall not be disappointed.” We shall not be disappointed. Does that offer you a bit of hope? It does for me.

“If you are symbolically and figuratively ready, get up and step out of the boat.”

Darkness & Light

“I walk in the presence of the Light and I am not afraid.”*

As darkness attempts to cover the world, the Light will always prevail. Keep this truth in your heart no matter what comes down the pike.

See yourself, daily, bathed in the Light of Christ. This inner radiance dissolves anything that is not divinely planned; dis-ease, lack, loss or limitation. You are wondrous in your manifestation of self.

Your desire to pursue this path of hope and glory, in the light, is the greatest gift you can give yourself.

Always find the light in every situation no matter what and leave the plan of your life to the divine planner.

Remember: the Light is always stronger than the darkness.

“I walk with Jesus Christ and I am not afraid!”*

A Lesson in Faith

“A Storm of Wind Began to Howl”*

“What happens when the winds begin to howl and the waves of life are breaking all around you?”*

When we take our eyes off God, we lose power and one’s faith begins to flicker; allowing a dark cloud to form. What rules the day?

Do you have a spirit to stir and “ears to hear?”

God says, “Be not afraid; neither doubt. I am your guide.” (2 Esdras)

God always helps when we don’t know what to do providing a solution in action, while finding solid/holy ground once again.

“I have run the race and kept the faith.”

Be Brave

You are an over-comer; more than a conqueror through the power of the Risen Christ.

Have faith, courage and understanding, this will take you far. Don’t doubt the information that you receive.

If you have a spiritual connection and you are centered before you connect, the truth will light up within you like a strong flashlight.

The ‘Inner Ticker’ races around inside of you, shouting to get your attention. All answers of truth are revealed within; reach out, pray and be.

On this Day, Let us Pray:

In the name which is above every name, in the name of Yeshua Jesus:

“We release God’s power to overcome any adversity, now, by Faith. We activate his angels that surround you to work now on your behalf; nothing can come against you. We affirm that Divine substance full of light and life flows through your Spirit, Soul and Body; where you dwell and move.” (HR)

“Never falter, go forward so boldly, so unafraid. I am beside you to help and strengthen you.” (GC)
