Gathering with Kindred Souls – Connecting the Broken Links

“I will call my people and gather them together. I will rescue them for I have redeemed them.” (Zechariah 10)

This is the time for small cell groups or home church communities to gather together, making an effort to support and fellowship with one another. We re-connect links that would otherwise remain broken and forgotten.

There are literally hundreds of small faith communities that meet in local homes or small centers, on a weekly or even monthly basis. Stand up and be counted in faith and truth.

During this changing and challenging spiritual time, we are reminded of what God says, “I can never forget you. I have written your name in the palm of my hand.” (Isaiah 49:16)

Let us not forget one another and take cause to re-connect.

What is “A Gathering of Friends?”

Kindred Spirits

“A Gathering of Friends” is the literally the church in motion without walls. This is a time set apart for kindred spirits to come together. We pray for the Spirit of God to come upon us, bless us, as well as those we assist through our ministry,” Helping One Family at a Time.”

Foundation: Several years ago, individuals began gathering in homes for a time of quiet reflection, prayer and fellowship. We now continue this in tradition by meeting God in the moment.

Christ’s Mission: “For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven!”  Remember friends, with God, everything comes in His time and not ours.

Your Decision: “In all spiritual endeavors the place to begin is with God”. God will move mountains but you have to bring the bulldozer, yourself!

During this great Season of Change, this time of spiritual revival through the Power of Prayer, we encourage you to stand with us.

In addition to the Power of Prayer, “Wherever two or three are gathered together there He stands in the midst of us.”

We are healed in the presence of Christ when we break bread, fellowship, and reach out to one another.

“I know thy works; Behold, I have set before thee an open door”

Why Do We Gather at Home?

What is the ‘Home Church’ movement?

The ‘Home Church’ movement began during the ministry of Jesus, and continued after his resurrection.

What did Jesus say? “On this rock I will build my church, and death itself will not have any power over it.”

In this passage of scripture, Jesus was speaking with Peter. There are two key words in this passage.

The first is ‘rock’. Rock means the foundation that Jesus laid for us through his teachings and his ministry.

The next word to note is ‘church.’ The definition of the word ‘church’ means people and not an institution, dogmatic rules or a physical building.

The early followers of Jesus had no building or place to meet. They began meeting in their homes.

It was the desire of those who followed Jesus and wanted to carry on his teachings, to gather together in one place. All the believers devoted themselves to the Christ’s teachings, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer. (Acts 2:42)

They prayed, broke bread together and carried the message of the ‘Good News’ to all who had ears to hear and an open heart. “My prayer is that light will flood your hearts and that you will understand the hope that was given to you when God chose you. Then you will discover the glorious blessings that will be yours together with all of God’s people.” (Ephesians 1:18)

We are like-minded souls who are part of the ever-growing home movement of Christ!

Whether you are a kindred who meets with us once a month, or you just pop in via the web, we are glad you are here!
