Taking Care of My Side of the Street

“Prepare Ye the Way! “(Luke 1)

In life, we are called to prepare the way; spiritually and physically.

In the 1st Chapter of St. Luke, we find John paving the way.

As John “grew in Spirit” and matured, he made sure his side of the street was well kept and remained true to the task that God laid at his feet.

Who’s Side of the Street is It?

Earlier this week, while on a walk, I noticed broken glass in the middle of the road in front of my neighbors’ house.

My 1st thought: “Nice, I can’t believe someone did this.”

Inspiration from Spirit: “Get out your broom and sweep it up.”

My neighbor happened to be outside. I asked her, “Would you mind if I swept the glass into your grass?” She agreed.  I went back to get my broom.

It was still early in the morning and the sun was beginning to peek through the trees.  I began to sweep; keeping rhythm with the silence. No matter how much I swept, there was more glass to clean up.

God allowed enough time for me to finish the task and kept any traffic away until I was done.

It was revealed to me, in the moment; the lesson was about keeping my side of the street clean, regardless of circumstances around me.

As spiritual pilgrims, we are given a time of inner preparation; in the moment, a time to be!

Beware of Darkness

“Speak to my children and tell them to move forward.”

In her book “The Wisdom of Florence S. Shinn” the author uses the backdrop of the Crossing of the Red Sea; describing how the locusts of doubt and fear can dog you at every turn.

When God’s children were crying out, he told Moses, “I have come to deliver them out of darkness and into a land flowing with milk and honey.”

We have a tendency to look at the road block in front of us, instead of finding an alternative route. This is an easy trap to fall into when life unexpectedly takes a swipe at us. It is not always easy to see the forest through the trees.

When meeting challenges in life or ministry there is always a wilderness to pass through before one reaches her/his Promised Land; not everyone gets it or understands.

Recently, when dealing with a difficult situation and under extreme pressure due to time constraints, I needed help. I searched the internet and found two companies that could assist with what I needed to be done.

The first person I spoke with couldn’t help. I didn’t give up. I dialed the 2nd number and the person on the other end had a cancellation and would help us to lighten the load; a window opened.

Shinn writes, “Each one of you has a Promised Land, a heart’s desire; but you have been so enslaved by your negative thoughts, it seems very far away and too good to be true. You consider trusting God a very risky proposition.”

God always steps in on the 11th hour whether we are aware of it or not.

“I can’t tell you how many times I’ve plodded along wondering which way to turn and then heard these inspiring words, “Don’t look back, look up and see all the greatness I have in store for you” encouraging me to chart a new course.”*

“My Light is like a sword. I will come to clear the fields of darkness. The fruit (Spirit and Truth) that is ripe will already be harvested and that which is rotten will wither away and die.”

The Incredible Likeness of Being in Christ

In the Image of God, He created them.”

What is the “Incredible Likeness of Being in Christ?”

First, we look at the facts: We are “made in the image of likeness of our creator.”

If you are a kindred soul, let’s move on to our next point: “Likeness.” What does it mean to be like God?

Likeness means similarity, resemblance, a picture or reflection. Likeness is birthed in the spiritual world and experienced in the natural world.

As Christians, our greatest example of “Likeness” is Jesus.

When Yeshua came to walk among us on this earth, people recognized him as “Immanuel” (God is with us).

“Likeness” opens the door to synchronicity with one who is in harmony with self and God. How does this apply to those of us who are trying to walk in the light today?

If one were a musician, the spiritual world would be one octave above where we stand right now.

If we put ourselves in the divine presence of God by faith in action; through prayer, we are supplied with the tools of discernment. We recognize the God within another, the Holy Shekinah Spirit who also resides within us.

“Being” or “To Be” means that God has designed you with a special purpose or plan. Being has nothing to do with what someone else thinks you should be.

When we combine the concepts of likeness and being, it creates a space for the soul to embrace her/his divine connection with all that is of God.

Perhaps in a flash or vision, you take notice of one who works in the Light of Christ. Someone may be attracted to your Spirit; an inner soul-to-soul connection. You may have things in common such as spiritual background, personal journey or family experiences, etc. You find yourself drawn to the individual, and a connection is made. This is an opportunity of growth for both individuals.

When we recognize the “Incredible Likeness and Being of Christ in another, we can experience it within ourselves; and therefore we are truly made in God’s image and likeness.

“Rise, walk and be while sharing the most excellent part of your Spirit!”*

The Cusp of Starting Over

“A call deep within the soul; a transition.”*

The New Year is just around the corner. We are transitioning into a new season.

Many are working diligently; spending all their time in prayer, why?

Your planet is in disarray. Emotions are heightened. The entire globe is affected.

We are right on the cusp between the old and the new. The past is where it should be.

Take a breath into your Spirit. Step through the door of eternity; the world of this world, the heaven world.

Come, let us run this race together in hope and truth, Amen!

See You in 2017!

“Let us run with perseverance, the race that is set before us.” (Heb. 12:1)

My Path is Before Me

“Follow your path designed by God, inspired by the Spirit.”

“All your hard work has paid off. Life is exciting.”

“God has blessed us and laid a new path at our feet,” I am the vine and you are the branches. Remain in me and you will bear much fruit. (Jn. 15:6)

With that being said, I have a “Very Special Ministry Message” that I received this morning to share with all of you. If you are not in ministry, this message will speak to you, whether you are experiencing a time of transition or new beginnings in your life.

May the blessings of these sacred words resonate in your heart and Spirit:

Everyone will have a separate platform. All the trappings and politics have fallen away.

You, each, as individuals and groups are returning to your roots. You will continue to make a difference in the lives of those around you.

I will send you out 2×2, just as I did in the beginning.

You will have all you need at your fingertips. Let it go and be.

“The Path to God is the essence of the Universe and for each being it is personal.”

A Higher Plan

“For I know the plans I have for you; to give you and a future.” (Jer. 29:11)

BleedingHeartGodsGarden copy

Be determined. Don’t let anything or anyone pull you away from the path, for any reason.
Now, this is the appointed time, the anointed place; stepping into the space and not falling between the cracks.
God always has a better plan with a higher, divine purpose.
Embrace the eternal part of you that longs for the blissful connection of being at one with God.
Now is the appointed time.
The map of your being was laid out before you were born, “Before I formed you, I knew you.” Today, I know you. Take time to get to know me.

“God’s plans stand firm and can never be shaken.” (PS. 33:11)

Who Is It That You Look For? Part 6

“All who journey from one beginning to another, in a life of communion with Jesus do not focus on their own progress or backsliding. By day and by night, the Gospel seed, placed in the depths of their being sprouts and grows.” (Bro. Roger, Peace of Heart in All Things, pg. 26)

Something is happening out there. I have seen signs of these subtle changes in my garden and in my life.

This season, the Lemon plants are all in bloom, an anomaly. In the past, one or two plants would bloom and the others would remain dormant, as if they were asleep, “The dawn has secrets to tell you, don’t go back to sleep.”

As we prepare to fix our eyes on Jerusalem as a respite stop, we are not to become distracted by wandering from the path which leads to hope and truth.

Look, a victorious rider is on the horizon. The people are cutting palms, laying them down on the path. The palms are like hands waving; flowing in the breeze, a sign of victory. “After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude, which no man could count, out of every nation and of all tribes, stood before the throne with palm branches in their hands.” (Rev. 7:9)

“So take my hand in silence, in goodness and in faith.  Never despair again about your long due wait.” (DMOL, Patricia A. Zorn, pg. 57)

Following Your Heart’s Desire

“It shall come to pass that before they call I will answer and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.” (Is. 65)

As a young adult, I had people around me that didn’t believe in me; constantly reminding me that I was nothing or nobody. It was like a broken record. Unfortunately, the opinion of another held me back from seeking my heart’s desire for a few years. Today, that is not the case.

Whenever someone has a negative opinion about my life or my work, I know, in my Spirit, this is not truth because it does not come from God. My “Go To” affirmation is: “Well, that is not what my Mother/Father in Heaven believes or wants for me.” It has saved me from stepping into places I don’t belong.

I had the opportunity to share this with a friend of mine. She was curious and I went on to explain to her that I don’t have a mediocre God in my life. I have a big God.

How big is your God? As Florence Scovel Shinn wrote, “Do not magnify obstacles; magnify God’s power.”

Following one’s heart’s desire is a matter of sweeping the old stuff out and using whatever spiritual tools available, while being washed clean from personal shortcomings and moving on. All going forward comes from a desire to be.

“Hope deferred makes the heart grow sick, but a dream fulfilled is a tree of life.” (Prov. 13:12)

Consecrate to God – Be At One

“I chose you for special work.” (Jer. 1:4)

Are you in a state of readiness to move forward in life? “You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you. I have ordained you that you should go forth. Your feet shod with the preparation of the Gospel of Peace.” (Jn. 15:16)

Are you at-one with God? Has God tapped the inner part of your being? “Take what you need, leave the rest and believe in the greatness of God’s handiwork.” (Awakening the Inner Ticker of Life, pg. 53)

Have you offered up this day for something special?

Here is a “Positive Daily Prayer” passed on to me:

I joyously consecrate and dedicate myself to the will and the work of
Jesus Christ.

I form a spiritual partnership

I consecrate myself.

I dedicate myself.

I follow the will and the work of Jesus Christ in my every activity
for the highest good of all.

Do you believe God has a plan and a purpose for you?

“Before I formed you, before you were born – I knew you!” (Jer.)
